Karen Enoch

 

 I grew up in Malibu, California and lived for 25 years in Bakersfield, California, where I learned East Coast Swing and then West Coast Swing.  Tyoni Martin had a studio there where we took lessons from her and Josh Harless and Josh Clark (all of whom are Skippy Blair teachers).  I started dancing about 4 years ago because my daughter Stephanie was excited about West Coast Swing.  Dance has enriched my life and boosted my self-esteem.   I enjoy dancing with good friends and meeting new friends every week at the Turnverein.  I also started dancing Salsa on Wednesday nights with my younger daughter, Deborah, in May of 2008.  She has become an amazing Salsa dancer besides being great at West Coast.  I recently started going to the Stampede for country dancing on Wednesday nights.  I also enjoy dancing ballroom at Dancesport and at the Ballroom Bashes at the Turnverein.  I have two other daughters - one is a Massage Therapist and the younger is homeschooled and an older son, who works at Gamestop and is looking for a full-time job in his field of Computer Systems.
