Kenny Nelson
Kenny Nelson has been swing dancing since 1998. He has been teaching and
performing since 2001, and competing nationally since 2003. His swing
dance
interests lie in both lindy hop, west coast swing and balboa, thus
lending him
unique knowledge and style. He competes at the Advanced/All-Star levels
in west
coast swing and Advanced/Pro in lindy hop. Teaching has taken him
throughout
Colorado, the Midwest, California, Ireland, Portugal, and Australia.
Kenny has been an active member of Rocky Mountain Swing Club since 2005.
Since
he moved here, he has co-directed the Colorado State Swing
Championships, been
a club dj, and been on the board. As a teacher, Kenny strives to engage
students through excellent communication, visual examples, and clear,
easy to
understand breakdown of movements.
